Growing up as one of the daughters of Minichiello Jewellers, I have constantly been surrounded by the most amazing jewellery pieces and dazzling gems. This has inspired me to carry on my fathers tradition to discover, design and create beautiful jewellery. As a trained Gemologist through the GIA, I will use my education and experience to help guide and forecast trends as I see them today. I will also keep you updated on what’s new and exciting at Minichiello’s from our latest designs, new acquisitions and noteworthy, custom made pieces. I hope you enjoy and let me know what you think!

/ July 9, 2013Hi Deena,
What is your recommendation for a 50th birthday / 25th wedding anniversary gift for a woman who loves jewellery? You have some lovely pieces highlighted but interested in your opinion for that “special” gift. Thanks!

/ July 10, 2013Great question! I have to say a Diamond Eternity Band is my all time favorite gift for such an occasion. I haven’t met a women yet who thinks otherwise!
For special occasions such as these, it’s best to choose timeless, classic pieces as they will become keepsakes that you will treasure forever. A diamond eternity band falls into that category as a jewellery staple and will never go out of style. Oprah put it on the map with her stunning pinky finger, eternity band and since then, we all want one!
If rings aren’t your thing, a Diamond and Sapphire Pendant is also a great piece to consider. Sapphires are typically used to mark milestone events and I would definitely say the 25th anniversary, 50th birthday falls into that category! You could also check out the stunning Sapphire Ring I featured at Christmas time. Truly one of my favorites!

Hope these ideas help!
